I have been reviewing the new chaisis for the last 2 seasons and I think its time to buy. 09 800 chaisis is getting a little tired.

Is the reduced weight, new spindles and new float 3s going to be worth the $4g pricetag difference on buying a '14 over a '13 left over HC?

Was at my dealer yesterday discussing my options and he doesnt think so. I know hes looking to make room on his inventory page.... but what are your thoughts.

Are there going to be more "improvements" on the '14s that arent really identified yet?

I am in the same boat as you are on an M sled, I think I am going to buy the 13 and put the 3 k to accessories, I am thinking a C3 belt drive and a port, polish and pipe kit from slp, or a big block kit like on the pro lites. I know the new ones are 15 lbs or so lighter but I can lose that much weight and it just make me ride better. Just my .02 worth....

$1500 diff is what I got quoted. $9999 for '13 153 LE and $11500 for '14 162 LE. For 2yr warranty, new seat new tank, new skis, better (supposedly ) clutches, and the 18lbs(12-14lbs really) it was worth it to me to go '14.

Retail price on the new seat and tank is $500, available next fall. Powder Pro skis can be had for $300. If you buy a 13 you will get 2 years of warranty as well. If you can negotiate a good buy on the 13 covering the afore mentioned costs of $800 and still save some money beyond that, probable by the way, it might be right for you. Real weight loss from 13 to 14 LTD's and HCR's is 8 to 9 pounds, 7 of that are from the seat and tank. The 14 LTD does come in that Bad A#% orange and black though!

Believe it or not, the days of the "belt burner" are pretty much over. The sleds that are geared 19/50 as recommended, ie 2.62, (bulletin supposedly in the mail from Arctic Cat) have had little or no belt problems. Racin Station referred to a sled that was a "known belt burner" that they geared and clutched in another thread, has 900 trouble free miles on it. They perform pretty well too. :face-icon-small-win

We are talking Canada....

My dealer is pretty top knock, he is an AC test scout on the Next year models and is very very good to me.

'13 HC800 $10,900 + tax (no pdi or frieght on their new non currents)

'14 HC800 $13,800 + pdi, plus frieght + tax.

My dealer has also told me that updates available on the '14s will be available on the '13... new cooling vent in shock tower, clutching, gearing and other stuff that comes down the pipe. I dont think shocks, seat and tank are going to be concidered updates though.
