Anybody running 20/46 with the 76p chain? I just installed them and I really had the run the tensioner in (quite the dog leg). Not as sharp as the top gear, but significant. I probably only have 1/2" of threads left in tensioner.
Anybody have any issues with the tight radius around the tensioner?

I would sell the 76p chain and get yourself the 74p.
I took your advice. Much happier.
BTW, I installed a brand new chain. Just had to make sure it was lined up well, but no issues getting the lower gear on as others have had with a new chain.
Couple pictures to show the difference between 20/46 with 76p and 74p chains.
When they went to the goofy plastic slide shoe style tensioner, was when I knew I'd never run a chain case sled again. Too problematic in cold temps, if you get on the brakes too hard you push the tensioner bolt right thru the plastic or it shatters in sub-zero temps. For awhile you could install the tried and true IQR hardened steel roller but even those days have expired now.
I run the IQR one in both my SBAs but QD was a awesome feature in 13' I had to have it !! Now the gearing for 2.41 cost me $780 with the required VE bottom sprocket Gaurd !! $500???? I Wish
Added feature of the IQR tensioner is you regain the whine from below
These Sleds are way over geared I think a 2.2 from factory and it would be bugger fkickable !!

Guys who've geared down to 19/43 or the better for the mountains 19/46 what is it like to ride say in the UP with that gearing? Is really buzzy when back at home? I ride both out west and the UP and want to gear down (currently running MDS clutching) but have hesitation on the "back home" aspect. Any insight? Seriously thinking about the 19/46 combo this year...

I like the 20-46 at home. You don't want to be going over 80 mph anyways with a mountain sled.

I am running the TKI 2.25 in my 15 Pro in the U.P. and LOVE it. That would be equal to the 19/43 set-up.

Thanks for the feedback. Convinced me to give it a whirl, 19/46 and 74p chain on order. If the UP get's snow enough to play off trail this year I will make sure to report back on UP vs. West with this gearing. Per Steve (MDS) I'll need to add some grammage

Anybody changing anything in the secondary clutch like spring or helix? I have a 2014 standard rmk 800 with stock secondary and helix with the team black/purple spring. I'm installing 19/46 gears tomorrow night. I'm running 10-60's in the primary with the Polaris black/green spring. Any suggestions would be great. Or should it be good to go?

Im running the assualt 800 144x2 compatition track. Thinking about trying this 19/46 gearing, 97% off trail and hill riding. Being a heavy guy probably 270/280lbs dressed in gear and gas on the back rack.
Any imput or thoughts on this would be good or bad i think it would beneficial. Currently running the 20/42 gears.

You will be good to go but could be much better. Search for the TRS setup 19/46 setup. I have one on order.
