Some would say they over think it . There is already a relationship between Doo and Ducati , that combo could be interesting ? they both produce v-twins and rigidity of a tube frame could give access to all sorts of options and mods unless your into the rolled aluminum thing :)

The best set up for a Phazer is to set it up in your driveway and back over it with your truck. Then go down to any sled store and set yourself up with any other modern mountain sled lol

I had one set up with 162 by 14 track big 10" skis It had a TS 151" skid set back to allow for the 162" track super shallow approach angle and the super soft Apex track cut down to 14 Inches. This thing would just walk up on top of the snow without ever digging a hole and the track that sucked on higher HP sleds was perfect on the 80 HP phaser
We hit Summit lake after a epic dump, there were 6 sleds abandoned below the Titt 4 feet+ of super fluff. That little Phazer walked around in that stuff at 1/2 throttle where 800s got stuck on the flat.
Not a Hillclimb monster with its 80 HP but it sure can be made to work with just a little bit of ingenuity.
In Stock form they were a sad attempt on a beginner MT sled.

A 6 speed Gearbox on that Little 500 would make a heck of a snowbike motor
