Puller won't go into clutch

Working on my buddies 09 m8 for some odd reason the puller only goes in about a half inch and binds. I'm puzzled cause I've used this puller a ton of times on 09 m8s. And I pulled his old clutch to put this one on.

He probably got a metric replacement when he put that one on. Probably need the mint green puller. 10-up.

I've seen it happen before that way. I had one on a 08 have a metric clutch on it before. Just a thought.
