I rode 150 miles and only went through a quart. Is that to low. I was thinking 100 miles to a quart of oil.

How much fuel did you use? That seams a little low but you really need to know fuel consumption to compare against

So around 8 gallons? 32 to 1 is 4 ounces per gallon so 8 times 4 is 32 ounces. I usually get about 50-60 miles for 8 gallons

sorry it has a crossfire tank on it. I believe its an 11 or 12 gallon tank if that makes a difference. so as you stated 32 to 1. what should it be

You said 3/4 of a tank right? So between 8.25 and 9. So it should be 33 to 36 ounces of oil for a 32 to 1 ratio. I wouldn't worry about it you are closer to 32 to 1 than 40 to 1

Yup, like bowfisher said you were between 32:1 and 36:1 fuel to oil ratio. It seems as though most guys that are running premix are between 32:1 and 40:1 so you are spot on. I personally run 32:1.
I am more amazed at the fact that you went 150 miles on 8 or 9 gallons. I can't go half that far running the tank about bone dry. I guess that's the difference between pow and trails!

Exactly what I was thinking too. We can ride all day and put on 50 miles and at the end of the day be wondering if some of the sleds are going to need gas to get back to the truck.

I forgot to put the 1 in front of the 3/4. it was 1 3/4. sorry for the typo error. makes a difference with the correct info

Oh. I'd check the oil pump linkage. I don't even know if you turned the pump way down you could get to that ratio. It's around 80-1

I purposely ran 150 miles I thought. I have to redo it and check it again. thanks for the info. so if I take the gallons used and times it by 4 that would be my ratio then

For a 32 to 1 yes. 40 to 1 is 3.2 ounces per gallon. Shoot for somewhere in that range

Ya i have gone 75miles on a full tank in my m1000 and that's pushing it. I think i need to turn my oiler down, i burn almost tow quarts to one tank of fuel.
