I have a 2002 summit 800, and I just bought a KOSO egt, water temp and RPM gauge with the SLP water temp hose splice kit. With this hose splice I can leave the stock water temp sensor in place. I was wondering that hose I need to put this water temp gauge into. Can I put it in the hose that comes out the top of the head and runs down the mag side of the engine. I know that seems to easy to be true. Or do I need to put it in the hose that comes out of the head, between the reed cages and out the bottom of the sled to the heat exchangers.
If there is always water flowing out of the top hose on the head then I will use that, I know that when the termostate opens that most of the water goes out the bottom hose but I think there has to still be some comming out the top hose. If anyone can help out that would be great, thanks
