07 Dodge particulate filter????

2007.5 Dodge with the 6.7 Cummins. The service engine light came on
and thing ran like crap for about 200 miles. You would push down the throttle and it would just sit there, then take off like a bat out of he!!. Sometimes it would buck real bad. After 200 miles (or so) the light went off and it ran fine.
The little indicator on the headliner said nothing of "regen in process".

Thoughs? Maybe another problem? Runs fine now.

since the cel came on it should have thrown a code. have you tried the key trick to display the codes?

btw if the key trick doesn't work auto zone, advance or any of those places will pull codes for free.

Cycle the key 3 times and it will display the code where the Mileage normally is.

I'll try and find the video, but you start in off position and then turn it to the run position (dont start it) and then off again, do that 3 times and end with it on and it should display the code where the mileage normally is. But, I'm pretty sure if you have one of the latest computer flashes then this wont work.

that is the best way to describe it.if it works and you have no codes it will say done.

codes usually erase themselves after 30 or so keystarts, that is if the issue was resolved.
