I couldnt find a better place to put this so here it goes

Bike is a 2001 Yamaha YZ250F, i picked it up off a kid last year who thought the rings were stuck....not sure what the rings would stick on in a four stroke haha but none the less I gave him the 200 bucks for it.
Got it back home and pulled the engine out of it. there was brand new engine oil in it, at that moment i knew exactly what the Problem was, crank locked up. after i tore it out and knew that was the problem for sure i ordered up all new yamaha crank, piston and gaskets. as long as i had the engine apart i taped everything off and gave it a healthy coat of black paint....except for the head.
After that i figured, im this far might as well redo the entire bike.
Tore it down to the last nut and bolt, Repainted EVERYTHING gloss black, put new bearings on everything. Ported and polished the head, Recut the Valve seats, ground the valves, sent the cams out and had them reground. Ordered up a new Hinson clutch setup, a BBR Kickstart lever, Protaper bar Pad, Protaper Grips, ASV Clutch and Brake Lever, IMS race pegs (then filed them to sharp points) IMS shift and foot brake, Complete carb kit with anodized adjustemnt levers and black lines, made my own copy of an aftermarket exhaust. actually came out better than i hoped put it on my buddies 250 and it actually made 2hp better than stock where his aftermarket system made 7hp more.

pretty much the only thing that i didnt do new was the front and rear tire. everything else is either modded, restored to new quality, or replaced.

Well ill let some of the pictures speak now will add more later.

looks awesome! just curious what type of paint you used to make the frame that glossy, i want to do that to my bike!

It's a ppg single stage paint just gloss black... I did the rims too look awsome. I added a little extra hardener than recommend hoping it lasts a little longer.

Bike should be done this week some time.... Just tying up loose odds and ends.

Got the bike pretty well done, im just waiting on carb parts and she should be a runner....i hope haha im going to wait to wrap the plastics until i know it runs good for sure. otherwise its complete. i shooting to make 6hp over stock (thats being very conservative) realisticly it should make 8-12 more once i get jetting and such dialed in.
