Sled has about 500 miles and I've lost the head light bulbs. Low beams went first and now I'm down to just one high beam. I know a lot people had issues with the 12's but I haven't heard much about the 13's.

Does anyone know the bulb number for aftermarket bulbs?

i still have both low beams but lost one high beam also. quite a while ago.
this is on a '13.

I replaced both of mine over the weekend all I had left was the left highbeam. Replacement bulbs are 9003 or H4. This was on a 13 with 650 miles

replaced the right side with 300 miles and it's a pain in the a$$ to do!

I've lost both low beams on my 12 .are they just crappy bulbs or is it something else?

Bad voltage regulator would cause this. The stator is over charging the headlight circuit which pops the bulbs.

is the voltage regulator in the hood assembly?, we swapped hods on our sleds and the problem followed that hood.

mine went through bulbs right since it was new, I ordered a 2014 but got the electric start hoping the extra power from the battery will help with the power surges

Wow... that's an odd one. I wouldn't think it would work that way. I'd think VR as well. (no, it's not attached to the hood assy, it's the CCU that's attached to the sled)

I had the same problem on my 12 and a buddys 12, we tried the H4 white bulbs and they blew faster ( would not last a day). It turned out to be the dimmer switches 2 plus the recall on mine (total of 3) and 3 plus the recall on my buddys. Once we got them right we have not blown a bulb.

ya i thought it was odd, i bought my sled with one blown light and a blown fuse so i replaced both light bulbs and put the hood on my dads sled and he blew on eheadlight right away, the other is still fine.
and i have his old hood with 2000 miles on the bulbs and they are working fine. odd eh

Dimmer Recal

Was looking over the 12 cat recalls and the dimmer switch is on the list it may have something to do with that recall. Get ahold of you dealer and see!?

I had that recall done 2X, this isn't the problem.
