"Reason 1: Yellowstone National park is for everyone, not just snowmobilers."
So are snowmobilers not included in "everyone"? Do snowmobilers not pay as many taxes as people who fish, which would give them more right to the park?

Dont we pay more and more every year on our registrations to pay for those nice groomed trails that lady wants snow coaches on???? think about that  the less snowmobiles registered every year the more your taxes go up to pay for the same things either way your screwed. Yes snowmobiles gone = yellowstone bankrupt and then they will do everything they can to get us back. Snowmobiles do less damage to undergrowth then skiers and hikers do take OHV class its in the books.

SNOWMOBILERS NEED TO GET TOGETHER AND GET ORGANIZED LIKE THE THE GREENIES WHO ARE FIGHTING US THEY ARE MORE ORGANIZED.

some one should repost that on youtube and allow comments

It probably wouldnt last long due to copyright issues. YouTube has really stepped up on copyright infringement.

That lady is an a$$ hat. Her statements make no sense to me. "The park is for everyone" but lets ban snowmobiles?? What is that all about? I think she has been sniffin too much glue.

As it is now, either you X-Country Ski or Snowmobile to areas not accessible by any other means. The availability to those areas will increase demand by those group do not fall into that category. Snow coaches are a good idea for those that want the tour guide experience. But to take out a group of recreational users for the reasons mentioned in the video are unrealistic.

Yellowstone is for everybody. If you limit access during the winter to a select few groups, then this should apply to summer use also. Bus/Coach tours during the summer should also be the norm to have a consistent argument. Limit the number of cars and trucks. During the summer loud vehicles should also be banned along with emission testing to enter. Yellowstone is not a wilderness experience. Its nice and pretty, but certainly overused.

Sledding accidents with tour groups happen all over, not just Yellowstone. So that argument is just plain ignorant and not valid. With this type of argument that Jackie points out, we should actually close down back country access to camping and hiking because of the bear fatalities in the National Parks, or X-Country skiing because of twisted ankles.

I think that the biggest impact to Yellowstone is to have a quiet winter, (limited or no access) and then open the gates for all of the tourists in the spring. All of a sudden you have pressure on the wildlife that had not exisited all winter long.

Thats All.

I wish Enviros would just go away, they have wilderness areas that are meant to protect animals, well when any animal can survive in the open slopes at 8,000 ft it means its summer. Nothing can survive up there, so why is it closed in the winter? Back to the origanal subject, this lady has a hugely biased opinion. They say that they want everyone to enjoy the parks, what they really mean is everyone who is like them and no one else. Rant over, MM.
