Whose done this yet?

Looking to do a '08 IQ 144" chassis, with a pwc 1050. Is this possible fitment wise, and has anyone done it lately?

Not looking for world record power or anything, just interested in this chassis, with a good reliable triple trail power plant. Want something with a decent power band overall, with little fuel worries at sea-level.

I thought about a xcr 800, and also always thought a Yamaha srx 700bb would be fun, but... I already have a complete pwc 1050, and it seems a moderate tune 1050 would suit me best.

Any advice? Been reading lots of 1200wc stuff, but 1050 seems limited.

Looking into chassis's now, and may be slowly starting this along the summer.

Open to any advice and or pointers!

Needing cylinders. Any certain year 700 cyl to look for?
Head.... Would like a single head/cover for steady alignment. Brad's?
Would likely lean towards an oem rack carb setup, as opposed to lectrons etc...
Ign, several options it sounds, still very undecided....

Is my 1050 crank I have usable with a new pto end? Whole thing needs rebuilt, was swamped and needs entire rebuild anyways.

Lots of thinking so far, lots to decide :)

Read the DIY watercraft thread in the general section. I don't know about fitting one into an IQ chassie but all the info you need about the engines.

The wc triple will fit in a iq chassie.
A shop here in norway did it a couple of years ago.
Pipe fitment looks like a nightmare...

That was a 1200 WC in a IQR chassis, IQ is a totally different world. Both him and his brother MBR46 are riding Cats now.
