These work great and so cost effective. But we seem to get interference from the sleds. Any remedy to this? Also what’s everyone doing to program them with bad radios etc. Thanks!
I have been using the baofengs for 6 years now and have yet to get any interference from the sled.
What freq are you using?
For programming, get and FTDI cable and use cps chirp. 1st thing is to download from the radio and save it. If you screw things up, you can reload the original programming and start over. The frs/gmrs (link) freq can be found in the chirp pull down menu system
Sometimes a tone will stop the squelch from openning but, the interference will still be there possibly causing reduced comms range.
Check your plug caps. Make sure they are tight.
Check the plugs. Cracked porcelain can cause noise.
Check the engine to chasis ground wires.
Do you use hid or led lights? That could be the source.
