The last time you came out your son was 10. Did you find someone that can do age reduction treatments. I need to find some age reduction treatments. With our current snow conditions it does not matter which direction you ride. The open areas to the South will work better considering your son's experience and the sled he rides.

Is there enough snow to get my 88 phazer stuck it is a long track but was hoping to have enough toake it a challenge

Ya there is enough snow to get the Phazer stuck. If you cant you did not try hard enough.

listening to the forecast these pictures are pretty outdated already this is from last Friday, just off trail 5/7, waist deep and pushing up to the headlights on the dragon I was riding, buddys old gen2 rmk had a heck of a time navigating this stuff, the riding is amazing!

I'm gonna be looking for someone to ride with on Friday this week before I head home. Anyone wanna show me around? Give me a shout 307 677 5230. Experienced rider deeper the snow the better. Can meet at any of the lodges long as I can park my truck (no trailer)

If they can make it through this forecast over the weekend without getting that warm it will stay good. I'm sure in the trees and shaded areas will last just fine.

Wet day

Unfortunately today was mostly rain which turned much of the nice powder into wet cement, and soon to be hard cement. Drove all day Saturday arrived in Spearfish Saturday evening... Good night sleep and then set out for Trailshead. A log jam of cars on 85 between 14A and Trailshead as on particular bend in the road was glare ice, and the cars all drifted down the banked turn to the bottom of the roadside and sat their stuck. Eventually a plow made its way through the traffic and put down a tire track on the high side of turn just off the road that cars were able to use get around the curve without sliding off the road. Unfortunately I think he had run out of dirt/salt by that time so no help for traction. Eventually the intersection cleared, but it was probably a 45 minute to 1 hour delay while traffic cleared.

Will spend a couple more days here enjoying the trails... but I think off trail just took a beating.

MRC is right today was a hard day on the snow conditions. It pretty much rained off and on all day today. Not a light drizzle or mist plain azz pouring rain. Off trail snow was getting heavy wet and hard to ride. The trails will benefit with less traffic and grooming of this heavy wet snow that will freeze hard and smooth. When I left Hardy at 2pm it was 35 degrees and raining. When I got back home to Hot Springs it was 16 degrees. Definitely a hard core inversion going on. It was warm on Friday but it did not do much damage. Saturday was cooler and cloudy but today hurt. I rode (for fun) on Friday with another SnoWester and had great conditions. Got in plenty of stucks.

Do you think there will be any decent off trail for this up coming weekend Feb 8-10th? Did the whole system get rain? What about on trail conditions?

Trails are great ,Off roading is good still have to be careful of stumps and rocks. Real good snow north.Cool weather all week!!

You will have a great time. I was there last weekend and had a riot. had some rain Sunday but have had fresh since, so i would not hesitate to go back. plenty of snow to go anywhere.

Good riding today

We unloaded at Trailshead and headed north today. In the trees was pretty good, really deep in spots. Trails were in good condition. I would venture everything will be tracked up pretty good by the end of day tomorrow. We were up around 4, 4A, 3A, 3 & 3B. Has anyone been south in the last couple of days?

Rode today,trails are excellent,meadows are good ,Firm base out in the trees. High was only 25 degrees when we left trailshead. Best snow so far this year.
