Snow bike tie down

I also use those with straps and use a ratchet strap on the kit pulling towards the back of the deck. we do this with 4 bikes on a sled deck.

It is a mess of straps but there is no way that the risk setup or many others really will work with 4 bikes on a deck and most of us run the yeti wheels. And there is no way i am taking the yeti wheels off as i ride my bike up the sled ramp with them. Cant do that with any other setup.

i just looked at these at the Sled show yesterday and think they would be the only setup i would consider spending money on but then i need to add even more track to my deck all over the place

ummm whats wrong with the tried and proven tie down strap??? why is everyone afraid to compress the fork?

For me the straps suck if you are on rough roads with a trailer or flatbed... once the ski starts to move it is unnerving... now can you get it right with a bunch of straps.. yes... but man for me 2 carabiners is so much faster to the foot pegs... if you just rig it up it cost about 20 dollars... no more frozen and stretching straps or the strap slipping through the locking mech because of ice... does not matter if you leave it in your truck and it freezes... again e track and carabiners work like a charm year around... no compressed suspension either.

In BC the cops can be stubborn about having 4 points of tie down. A superclamp counts for 2 on a sled don't know about a bike but as we move forward I can see them getting sticky about the 4 points thing on bikes because they already are on sleds even in your trailer.

ya we have been pulled over in the past with 2 sleds on a deck and required to strap the rear of each one individually.

When we haul bikes we have two straps on the front and 2 on the rear so shouldn't have any problems. Bikes dont go anywhere like this.

The Bike Binderz are the same idea as the Moto Cinch that came out about 7 years ago. I've been looking for them or something like it for a few years now and haven't been able to find anything till now thanks. I've even looked into making my own set up with small chain binders.

Using the E-track, do you do a pyramid formation out of the straps when using the caribeeners (like bike binderz does with their track)?

I'm ordering E-track and I'm wondering what the best E-fittings are when using caribeeners? I was thinking of using a preset length strap like this http://www.etrailer.com/Trailer-Cargo-Control/Erickson/E59143.html

Then put two of those ends through a caribeener and hook to the peg.

Thoughts?

Just with the e track, strap, loop, then hook. That is correct.. more carabiners for a higher bike

We just use ratchet straps to tie down the skid frame to the trailer and then put one strap on the front forks just to keep the front front sliding in an enclosed trailer - no ned to cinch the front down tight. With the rear of the skid strapped tight to the floor it doesn't move.

That reminds me of a horse trailer , funny .

The set up I seen mounted and stored up to the ceiling . So when you drive in you reach up and pull it down and it velcros to the grips . The bike/bikes stand in the unloaded position but can't go anywhere because the bar is secured from above .

I'm really liking the simplicity and low cost of the caribeener setup. How far are you compressing the suspension it at all? Do you find it more stable to pull straight down or at a slight angle?

At an angle is more stable.
Compressed about 2-3"

Can hit a speedbump at 50 without anything coming loose

For sure an angle like said above... I set up my e track to intersect under the bike...
