Race gas seems to be the death rattle for these...BUT... not all race gas.

I soaked one in VP110 and one in 100LL AvGas... the VP softened the adhesive on the filter... the AvGas... nothing.

Also.. the old filters back in 2006 or so, didn't seem to have this problem.

Race gas has strong solvents in it like Toluene etc. that will soften a lot rubbers/plastics/adhesives.

Octane boosters are the worst it seems on the filters LOTS of toluene in there.

Funny, on the 2015 AXYS sleds... no external fuel filter... the pickup sock in the tank is the only filter.

Looks like we have this one listed for the 11-12 and is in stock. The 12-14 is out of stock right now.

We currently have these 2011-2012 in stock. But the 2013-and newer are showing a due date of 10-30-14 so we are getting closer.

2013 and newer.

Gobigparts would you recommend that I order one now, or wait until they are in stock?

Well your chances of getting one sooner are much improved because one will have your name on it. I hope this helps. I just fixed this item so I can now be ordered under backorder.

Thanks
Randy

Is that for the SPI and aftermarket filters? How do the Poo filters fair with VP 110?

Thats a good question for GoBig or jsledder on the SPI filters.

GoBig or jsledder...Want to test two "for the Cause"???
Cut them open, remove the filter element, Soak one in full 110 race fuel and the other in 100LL-AVgas??

CreekChub, as I said... the VP110 softened the adhesive that holds the filter together.

I'm going to open up a used 2014 stock filter that was used for 200 miles with 10%-ethanol pump-fuel... dry it out, and soak it in VP 110 for a week to see what happens.

If you want to send me one of the SPI's from the current run...
I'll test soak it in Race Fuel ..It will get opened up (destroyed) and the element removed for the test though.

Would be best if it is current production run.

I have VP110 and Sunoco110 at my disposal.
