anyone have any tricks to seal exhaust. i'm talking on the single pipes [900 cat] where the y pipe meets the pipe itself. ive tried a new donut with no luck, i also tried silicone, let it set up overnight and it last's for a half a day then starts leaking again. i'm not talkinf a huge leak by no means but i run pods so i need to solve this.

I run a double set of exhaust springs and a little high temp rtv and that seals it tight. Double check your oil consumption, oiler might be turned up to high?

Run two springs per tab ( I run 3 on my turbo) and I also use permetex copper high temp silicone on all the joints in my exh system and dont have a single leak!

I bought some extra springs and could not get 2 to fit in the groove.
How are you guys doing it?

On one of the turbo aplications (I forget which one), it looks like they bend the tabs straight, drill and install bolts, then use a spring over the bolt.
The more you tighten the nut, the more spring preload.
Seems like a great idea to me.
Has anyone done this themselves?
And if so how were the results?
I just bought new donuts and would like them to seal up good.
