I have a 2002 700 RMK that I snowchecked and have taken great care of.
Sled is named DK (da King). about 2800 miles. I am having an inconsistent coolant loss. It happens about half the time. No signs of an external leak. I have checked all clamps etc. No sign of leak while idling on fresh snow. During some rides, I believe that I can smell antifreeze when we stop for a break. The coolant level will be down about 1" after a day of riding.

Your thoughts?:face-icon-small-con

Not really sure what the cute name you gave your sled has much to do with anything, but this is pretty common with these sleds. I just had to change out coolant bottles on 2 of my Edge RMK's. The bottle top will get damaged/warp over time and the cap doesn't seal correctly and you will lose coolant.

The cute name has to do with my attachment to DK. I name all of my sleds.

Your suggestion is that the coolant will tank will leak over time because the cap/tank seal deteriorates?

Thanks for the suggestion
