hey all

so on my my old cr500 setup i'd like to drill a mounting hole further back on MH kit to lower seat and lighten ski pressure
i've shortened TSS as much as possible it's still too long


has anyone tried this ? pros/cons

None of my old pics from my installs showed that area well enough to give a solid opinion on drilling a new hole, but as another idea, a machinist could shorten your strut fairly easily.

Also, they have sold different length struts, you could put it out on the list to see if anyone has one sitting on the shelf that is shorter than what you have now.

Hopefully someone else will chime in on drilling a second hole lower on the kit.

Lots of info out there about getting your strut shortened for free, getting a new strut, and drilling new holes. Google John Wayne Bobbit. Sorry, couldn’t resist.

Ive done it and it worked fine but i think i had to buy an extra long drill bit to drill the holes. But pretty straight forward.
