Does anyone know the travel on the Cat primary clutch?
Can you use Polaris, Yamaha or Comet springs in it?

Total travel is 33mm. The secondary only moves 1 inch inch. But yes Polaris primary springs work. Not sure about Yamaha, I dont think they do though.

The Polaris or earlier cat springs will work, but they require a cup adaptor as the springs are shorter, and will be effectively a lesser rate then listed. Speed were makes a cup adaptor, or you can stack glide washers to make up the difference. Polaris black (100/300) works well.

The Arctic cat 60/240 is almost a direct replica for the Polaris black it is just made to fit. Initial results are promising.
