Our ProLite magnesium chaincase cover and oil tank kits weigh in at just 2 lbs! Our cover has some nice added features too. There is a dipstick with a magnet on the end of it. And there is a easy access drain plug at the bottom. So not only do you drop a few lbs of weight, but it a also make changing the oil easier too. It uses the stock cap. I have attach some pictures stock and our ProLite version. This also simply makes things easier to work on if you need to change your chain or gears. The billet aluminum oil tank mounting bracket is strong and light.

The kit sells for $299

Fits 2012-2017 800 cats (except mtncat)

What is the weight loss difference?

What is the weight difference with the stock and your oil container full of oil??

2.85LB savings nice, before difference in oil.

What about the speed sensor? Will that be machined out?
Your picture on the actual site has the speed sensor installed.
Dipstick, drain plug. I think I am in!!
All sweet features that cat should of had engineered in the first place..

Neither did mine but they did include some silicone to glue your original one on. You just cut out your stock one and gently pry it out. The cover sure cleaned up my sled with my oil delete but I can't Figure out why BDX doesn't polish, paint, Powder coat or anadise(sp) the covers! It looks like **** when delivered!

The older one I took off of my pro-lite when I did the belt drive is maybe a little better looking. More uniform color anyway. The stock Cat one doesn't look real good either. Maybe it's just the lighting in their shop there.

you can reuse the stock speed sensor. It just silicones in place, the cover is designed to accept it.

ours holds 2 quarts of oil verses 4 quarts stock. so there is about 4 lbs difference in oil.

They are made of lightweight die cast magnesium. That just how that material looks. Some are more silver than others. For something that usually ends up getting dirty under the hood anyways, if you want it pretty there are people that do coating all over.
