Nobody else should buy these sleds. Everyone should buy something lighter. We should all be the same and like the same things. Thread over.......

We will just combine cats to the yami section now, both reliable and fat just different color.

So the spec sheet shows these at 465-470 dry, I didn't think there was 30lbs of fluids other than gas.

Put a Pro on the same scale and see what it weighs

how can geo's 12 hcr weigh 478lbs, if this is correct it weighs more than my 09 162 m1000 did stock. But no one can ride one of those heavy piles without getting tired. This weight thing is so f cked this year, just weigh a 12 cat and a 12 pro on the same scale, same fluids, so we know what to aim for.

Guess I have to brake this down for you Guys
470.0 Lbs dry M8 153 Snopro 50th Special
15.4 Lbs for 6.993 Lt of Coolant
7.18 Lbs for 3.26 Lts of Injector Oil
.7 Lbs for .355 Lts of Chaincase Oil
6.67 Lbs for 4 Lts of 91 Premium Gas
499.95 Lbs Total
I guess that I have burnt couple cups of gas.

Geo used 2 2x4's and a bathroom scale and although close, not accurate. I've used the 3 bathroom scale arrangement before, gotten the weight and then jumped on the machine. It should have weighed 180# more with me on it, but it read less.

I think the weight of the proclimb 8 is settled now, lets move on to the m1100t.
I'm guessing: Spec sheet says 576# dry 600# crate (all fluid except gas/oil) 670# ready to ride

First he said no gas then broke it down with 7lbs of gas, so which is it. I know what geo did but go the same crate weight on his '11 as listed and then lighter on the '12.

First off i don't know exactly how much gas is in it.
Can't see to the bottom of tank any more.
Could plug in pump and pump till dry.
Have't seen anybody come to my shop with Poo to scale it.
Think they are scared to find out the truth.

This is not the thread for Poo or Doo weights.
Don't care what everybody else weighs.
Just thought that people would like to know the truth.
I did weigh a 2011 full of fluids including gas tank and it was 562 Lbs.

So there is a thread over in the general section about a bunch of riding buddies that got together and had a weigh in. Sleds full of fluids, gas, etc.

Here is the link . . .

http://www.snowestonline.com/forum/showthread.php?p=2817823#post2817823

A couple numbers that surprised me.

12 RMK 600 155 (estart) 561lbs

11 rmk 800 155 Standard(not pro) 552lbs.

09 xp 154 (Estart) 549lbs

10 cat m8 bd turbo 162 559lbs

08 nytro mcx turbo 162 timbersled front and rear, lightweight seat 657lbs.

Thoughts on this.

In regards to the m1100t. It is going to be aprox 640lbs wet That is 17llbs lighter than the nytro. You can knock 15lbs off with a muff. So for $300 you can already be 32lbs lighter than a nytro with better geometry. Also the nytro holds 7gal. So for the same amount of fuel in the nytro it would weigh another 18lbs. So a total of 33lbs lighter than a lightweight nytro in stock form. Almost 50 with a new muff.

In regards to the 12 m8. It is likely to be less than 560lbs wet. So that aligns it with the pro +10lbs

So the guys that claim cat is the new yamaha. . . Quit it. Your making me feel bad about the coolest sled I have ever owned before I even get it when in reality I have nothing to feel bad about. Yes it is going to be heavy but it is not going to be yamaha heavy.

Like to Thread header says.
Before Diet.
Won't be posting picture after diet.
Would get hammered on that to.

Before and after would be great, regardless of what it weighs now compared to whatever, the before and after will be a straight up comparison, and everyone would like to see what you can loose with what mods.
BTW, I wasn't trying to bash you for weighing it, just playin around with my other comments.
