Wondering if anyone has any real world experience on the new Gen 4 Summit 600. What lug height did you ride etc.

I am curious also. I know a Doo rep here who rode one for a couple of weeks last year, he said it was amazing. Want one.

I'm also very interested in this sled for the kids. Especially with shot as neither of them are big enough to start the sled. Generally I'd like to give the motor a year and make sure their are no issues.

The Snowest magazine reviews look great. This is my wife's second season on a 2016 154 600 Summit. She is just now getting used the the 600's power,(yesterday was the first time she would give it full throttle) so she doesn't need the 850. Shot would be a bonus.

I have a few miles on a Renegade with a 600R. Motor runs very well. It's still in break in mode, but it's got longer legs than the previous 600. I would not be surprised if we were able to throw an additional 2g of clutch weight over the previous 600 at it once it goes through break in.

Haven’t ridden one yet but, everything you read about the 600r they compare it to 800 etec, very strong motor for a 600 . Made 133 hp at dynotech with 1 degree added timing and was still in break end mode.

Not surprising. The emission deleted RS racer is hovering around 140hp.

What a great sled.

We took the sled up today with about 8-10 inch of new snow on top of some really wet bass after some hard rains.it handles absolutely great. The 600 engines istruely a great engine. Feels like a stock 800 Xm motor is as close as icanrelate power wise. It gets up on the snow great no problem turning track for sure. The bottom end has a little grunt to it. Good power low and mid range. Just for reference I also have a 14 xm 600 154 and this sled really impressed me over the xm. Sled feels really good and nimble and easy to maneuver. I highly recommend it. Great sled ski doo.

These sleds are really fun great machines

I just wanted to tell anyone who is thinking of going with one of these 2019 gen 4 600 154 summits not to wait you are missing out. I am having so much fun on this 600 154 2.5inch track that I am selling my 2018 snow check 850 175. This sled is truly the most fun machine I have ever owned and my daughter loved it to. They handle so well and get up on the snow so well its unreal. The machine was in about 12-18 inch of snow in the trees and just keeps going all day long. I am truly thinking ill never go to a 800 or 850 again. Great job ski doo on this sled. I truly cant say enough good about these I went and purchased one for myself.

My new 600R 154 SP was picked up a few days ago and 1st time to ride this coming Friday. I was very happy with my 17 600 Etech so with what I've heard about the Gen 4 combined with the new 600R mill I can hardly wait.

Thanks for the review BD.

I have been on the 2019 600 Gen 4 and quite honestly have been blown away. Easily felt like my backup 800 xm sled if not better in terms of engine power. It is light and nimble and stays on top the snow incredible in both trees and deep snow. The person in our group who is usually riding the 600 is a 300lb guy with gear, and he goes damn near anywhere with that sled as the rest of us are going with turbo 850s and 800s. He obviously chooses his lines differently, but Since day 1 this season riding with him, Ive been blown away by the 600 gen 4 and have got to jump on it a couple times and it is an absolute joy to jump on, even though i love my 850 turbo. If i had room for another backup sled, id be having a hard time not picking one of these up for a fun sled when i dont want to run my turbo. If you are considering it, I can about guarantee you it will blow you away what it feels like and is capable of as a 600.

The wife is sporting a 19 , 146 summit 600R G4 with shot and the first thing I had to emphasize is " slow down " she did not realize the pace she was running . It has the sea level clutching and is very aggressive . It has a little over 600 miles on it now . This machine likes to go fast , the clutches are very sensitive to responding to the throttle and rider weight , very impressive . Fit and finish this skid has to be a bench mark for the rest to follow . Added some LINQ options that are plenty to choose from also added the USB plug in that fits in a knock out in the glove box , plug and play . The ease of starting cold to get the day going and using the shot is just impressive , no regrets on this purchase .

GF just got her SP 600R 154". Still at 70% break in.

Got to test it for two minutes, felt strong from the start, good mid range but lacked RPMs at the top. Might be combination of strange European sea level clutching and break in. Will adjust the clickers two steps and see how it turns out. Felt really promising though!

I have a lot of miles and experience on the 600 etec Summit with over 40000 miles on the 09,11,13,15, and 17 600 Summit. I have noticed a slight improvement with each new sled but non compared to the improvement in the 19 Gen 4 600. The improvement is incredible. I just finally received my new G4 600 154 last weekend for patrol, almost 3 months latter than usual. I rode the sled 1/2 day Saturday and a full long day yesterday. This sled is amazing, It handles well both off trail and on trail. The motor is very responsive and torquey. The bottom end feels like an 800. We recently received over 2 feet of new snow and I rode the sled in chest deep snow. It climbs on top of the snow incredibly well. It responds well to rider input, much easier than the XP or XM chassis. Since I received the sled this late in the season it has missed out in 2200 miles of riding.

The heavy duty five piece rear bumper , not the hitch rear bumper , that has the same curve as the stock is a really nice addition and I added the C-type hitch with the pin that locks in place so it doesn't rattle when not being used is a really nice combo . They do not call for them to be used together but it's almost a perfect fit , pulls really nice with the low end grunt it has .
