There needs to be a heading for 4-stroke Cats, 4-stroke Polaris, and 4-stroke 'Doo'.

I ride a 2005 Cat T660-Turbo 4-stroke. Its a factory sled, that has been replaced with the Z-1, and Z-1 Turbo.

I notice that the Yamaha section has a (obviously) 4-stroke heading, since most of their product line is 4-stroke.

My machine.

Hmmmm
This would have to be sold to management.
After a couple weeks we are settled in on the current format.

If you really want to get one more sub-forum installed, you will need to rally some REAL SUPPORT from the members for me to take this upstairs and sell it.

Otherwise, it will probably remain AS-IS for a while now.

So where would myself and others with 4-stroke Cats, Polaris, or Ski Doo's post a question or something relating to our sleds?

"Other" category? Nobody looks in those threads very often, including me.
Why then did management decide to break Yamaha into 2-stroke, and 4-stroke???
WTH, Hardcoresledder.com has 4-stroke forums.
Following your logic why not just eliminate the Yamaha 2-stroke column?

Also not everybody rides a 250 HP 166 something-or-other highmarker.

Why bother to expand all these forums, and yet have such a bias against 4-strokes from the other three mfgr's?
You should have just left the site format the way it was.

Just because all these "new site features" are possible, doesn't mean they desirable, or will improve the quality of this site.

You people are a lot closer to the 4-stroke capitol of Yellowstone and Tetons, than I am.
What about that clientele?

Before you ask, the GF and I paid a guide to ride with us on a Yamaha venture (4-stroke)in the park back in Jan. '09. A place where we have ridden before on our own sleds, but thats another topic altogether.

I'm not a newcomer to this sport. Been riding since age 30, and I'm now 67 and still enjoy it, including spending a week at Togwotee every winter.

I'm sure I've worn out more sleds than you've ever owned.

The Sub-Forums were choosen by the staff at SnoWest for each of the Sled forums.

if we are going to make any additions to them, you need to rally some serious support for it.

START RECRUITING.

Why am I here again? Oh yeah, 4 strokes. I don'y have one but one day they're all going to be. I better figure them out. I'm for it. I think it is a good idea.

Hey, I'm just to point out the obvious to be helpful.

But you people go right ahead with your approach to sno-forums.

I just wonder what the advertising and marketing exec's at Cat, Polaris and Doo might think about this? They advertise in your magazine don't they?

HCS has much better 4-stroke forums that have been very helpful to me.
Its not worth my time pushing this on SW any longer.

Have it your way, its your loss.
