XM front shocks, same as XP?

Hey all,
While waiting for the arrival of my XM is was trying to figure out what items may work from my last sled(2008 Summit 154").

With that said, can anyone confirm or deny wether the front shocks will fit from the XP's to the new XM's?

2008-09-010; front ski shock length is 17"
2011-12-13; front ski shock length is 16.5"

Thanks for the info Tom! Sounds like i should probably not run the Floats off my Summit XP on the new XM, your thoughts?

On a side note, would you happen to know which years/models (REV, XP, REV Summit, XP Summit) run the 17" shocks? The reason for asking is if I decide to sell I'll know how to advertise them regarding fitment.

You would need to shorten the shock by 1/2"
The 17" shock fits all the way back to 2003 Summit up to 2010.
Also fits on a lot of MXZ models.

Thanks again Tom, appreciate the info! I don't want to hassle with having them shortened so I think I will just put them up for sale...

Would you guess the 17" length shocks fit most all of the REV MXZ's?

Tom I have a set of 17" EVOL X's that I bought(from you) for my Freeride. What would it cost to have them shortened for the XM that is coming? Are the rears off the XP(2012) or Freeride that I got in the Evolution Air packages going to work on the 13 XM?
