I got my Go Pro HD about 2 months ago from Crutchfield. Free shipping, came with a good SD card and everything needed to use it. I've only had a chance to use it in mine and buddies racecars/dragsters so far. But Its survived and performed great.

Really looking forward to getting some footage with it this winter.

For the record, you will need to make sure the battery is charged and the memory card is in the slot before strapping it onto a buddies low 7 second 190+ mph dragster. Having no video to show them sucks lol.

Here's a few videos, these are all from my first weekend with the camera. Playing with settings, the 2 covers, mounts etc.

Check out Drift Innovations 170 HD helmet cam. i was thinking about buying a contour HD and was JUST about to confirm my order when i saw the youtube link for the camera and ended up getting it because it does better than both the GoPro and the contour in low light (clouds, snowy conditions) and in direct light (straight into the sun) plus the 170 HD camera has a wireless wrist control to stop and start recording the video and has a screen on the side so you can do lining up and things like that right there unlike the contour.......just type in DRIFT INNOVATIONS in google

Have contourHD, HeroHD, and Hero2 HD. Hero2 is the cam I use the most, takes best footage, has most mounting options. I like the video compression scheme, you can pack a lot of footage on a 16GB card. Contour burns through cards and battery fast, although sometimes I get a lot better footage in snowstorms on contour. If I was getting a new cam, I'd get Hero3 for the 120fps. But it's $200 more.

i haven't tried the Contour, so don't know. I've got an original old Hero (which is why i got the new one) and a Hero 2 HD (and the extra battery Bacpack) and i'm real happy with it. The outdoor edition has the best selection of mounts.(suction cup etc.)
