I started bringing an action camera this year, i'm not trying to impress anyone with that lol i know we have some serious riders here, just for the memories and seeing my progression after 4 seasons. We don't have the endless mountains climb and our forests are too packed to sled there so we have to make it with what we have.

We have quite a few gravel/sand pit around here, this is our most challenging terrain without loading the sled. This spot is 5min from home, so i go there when i ride alone.

Fellow low elevation riders, where do you ride?

Feedback welcome, don't be too harsh lol

Looks like your having a blast even with limited terrain! And for 5 minutes from home, I'd take that anytime. Perfect spot to go tear around for a few hours.

Definitely look comfortable on the sled thats for sure.

……..
Alaska is mostly low elevation. (Sea to sky)

More steep and deep though.

Looks like a blast to me!! Should wear that tether though :)
Nice job always having a finger on the brake!!

yes it's always fun in there, but after a few hours all the good spot are tracked lol, gotta wait for more snow to go back there.

tether was frozen, and it's the first year i have one, need to be automatic. But i've seen it uncoupled and not kill the sled so many times this year.

thanks, i've always had brake discipline since day 1:p i would need one of those fancy adjustable brake lever tho, sometimes when things get rough i squeeze the brake a bit because my finger is not long enough.

Yep i am fortunate enough to be in the middle of nowhere so i can just jump on my sled and ride to many good spot in 30mins. I can't believe i look comfortable, thank you. i think it often looks better on camera, but i guess everyone is like that.

That's a good amount of snow!

I guess Alaska weather is harsher because at this elevation we have trees every feet on these hills. If it was that deep no way i would have made one of these climb lol We had rain a couple times this year so it packed the snow quite a bit

Quite a few years ago now, but I loved low elevation riding. Bomb logging roads right from town, and ride trees in the 200’ deep drainages. Good times.

Ahhh yes upper Michigans Keweenaw peninsula! I do 75% of my riding up there, and to be completely honest I'll take a good day in the 906 before the mountains. They average close to 300" a year in the strong snow belt areas, and the drainages are definitely not small... Me and my buddy dropped into one last Sunday, spent 2.5 hours trying to get out of it and had to shovel a path through 5 feet of snow out the top! I've been in there 3 or 4 times before but its never been this deep up there since i can remember, definitely a good year so far! It has not stopped snowing for over a month up there, 8" yesterday and another 16" tomorrow! Heres some pics from over the years.
