Best trailer for 3 sleds and dirt bikes?

Curious on what everyone's thoughts are on this.

I had a 7x19 (front door and v nose) which only held 2 sleds.

Worked great for snow bikes and dirt bikes though. Towed real easy.

I would like to be able to hold 3 sleds but not drag around a huge heavy trailer which is way overkill for 3-5 dirt bikes. Going up to a steel deck over 8.5x19-21 makes 3 sleds easy but about doubles the trailer weight.

I have pulled an 8.5x16 deck over v nose sled trailer and it pulls a lot harder and blows around a bit more then my inline did, so I was thinking about an aluminum 7.5x19-21 or 7x21-23?

Can you fit 3 long tracks in a 7x21 or 7.5x19?

The aluminum inline trailers cost about the same as steel 8.5 deck overs and weigh almost half and pull a lot nicer.

I camp quite a bit in the summer and my concern with a 7x23 is the low ground clearance for forest service roads.

Maybe I'm dreaming and the best thing is a 8.5x21 for sleds and 7x12 for dirt bikes?

Pulling the trailer with 14 Ram 2500 Cummins, so weight/size isn't a huge concern to the truck but it sure is nice to get better fuel economy on long trips.

I have a 8.5x16' on the square with a 7' V and you can fit 3 x 162" easy. the 7' V makes the trailer pull a lot better than the 4 or 5'V and you get better turning and unloading with the longer v. overall trailer is 23'

Only if 2 are 153 and 2 are 162. Very tight

Thanks for the feedback!

I put 3 sleds in a deck over Charmac 18'x8.5'(12' box and 6' V) all the time. Just drove all three in the front door.

There was no comparison in how nice the 7x19 pulls compared to the 8.5x18 deckover. Hence I would like the low/mid deck.

The Mirage sport mid deck is real nice, but at $9000-10,000 I could buy a 6x12 cargo trailer and 8.5x19 deck over.

Good info here...I'll ask for more. I am looking at an 8' wide x 20' box with a 4' V. Is there any chance of getting 4 - 162 inch sleds in there? What about 2 - 162" and 2 - 155"? Want to go no longer than necessary for towing characteristics. Thanks.

Tape it out on the garage floor and stack them in there. Pretty easy way to play tetris and see if they will fit.

For sure 2 x162 and 2x155 and the 20+4 Is 1 foot longer i bet you could get 4x162. All have to be loaded from the front facing to the rear with the tails of the 2 in the v pushed together

Mine is a 7x20 on the box with a 5 ft v nose. 3 is easy. I have had a 174 and 3 163's in it several times. It's close, but they fit.

8.5x16 for me... 3 all day long in it. Can NOT do 4 even if I wanted. It's a car hauler so is not a deck-over either. Does very well with my 1/2 ton. Just my .02. Best of all trailer was cheap, have a heater in the V and upgraded the lighting package. Aluminum would have been better but it was significantly more expensive.

Iv seen 3 shorties in a 7x16 with 2' V, I would think 3 long tracks would fit with the 5' V.

Does that have the 4_5' front door/v nose or just like a 2' v nose for aero? One forward and two backwards to fit 3? Or back all 3 in?

Well, thats about every option available.
Personally, with a big truck, a couple ft longer or a ft wider ain't that much different.
3 long tracks, smallest trailer is probably a 8.5x12 w/ 4' vee. Helps if the sleds are narrow like a Pro.
I hauled a 155 Pro, 153 M7 and 144 Gen 2 Polaris in that trailer and a 3rd 15x would have fit. Idk if they were all 163s.
It was a single axle Triton aluminum. It was super light.
