Overall quality is great, and nice welds. But to do away with the plate on the bottom sucks. The outlet of this can is smaller in diameter than the stock can, so it leaves a huge gap between the outlet and belly pan exit rubber. Really don't like having to goop around a bunch of RTV sealant there. Would be nice to have the stock rubber outlet piece without a hole in it and just cut out the size of hole needed. I'm sure there are sheets of this type of material you can buy somewhere...

I found a solution. Don't remember if this is off a 12, 14 or 15 as it's been lying around for awhile. But this fits tight against the outlet. Just need to trim a hair off around the diameter. Need to use the stock rubber still and sandwich the new one in between the aluminum plate. Will only be able to get a couple rivets in it through the stock location. And I added an extra rivet. Not pretty but it holds it in tight. The rivets that go through the snow deflector plate need to be super long.

With the new mounting system do you think there will be any issues pushing the can up and out of the belly pan hole like the old ones?

It's pretty solid for the limited pipe up/down movement. But there is upper movement. There is one spring on the upper backside of the can. A loop on the bottom and something you could mount down on the frame is the only way to lock it downward fully. My guess is the new snow deflector keeps stuff from jamming into the outlet, and damaging it while pushing it upward.

So it only needs the 1 spring to hold it?

Got mine installed and was just curious if there's been issues

Do you know if the diamond S is the same can they had for the Suzuki 800 too or did they build a new can? I've been disappointed to learn many companies are just using the same exact can for the new motor.

They made the can different on some of the outside stuff. I'd need to take some measurements to verify if anything changed on the inlet/outlet size and the internals. Doesn't "look" like it though.

All you had to do on the old ones is drill out one rivet and put a 1/4" bolt in the hole to hold it down.

This is the method I used to make sure snow doesn't end up coming up through the gap. A 2" rain collar. I'm hoping the rubber holds up to the heat.
