I agree with this and from what I hear it's an 850 eater.

Can’t keep up with those 840s tho huh? :eyebrows: har har har...

Sorry to hear the OP is still waiting on his sled. I also heard about a transportation change. I heard they outsourced curriers this year... my sled supposedly shipped, but the status at the dealership said waiting for pick up. And without warning or update in the system, it showed up a little over a week later. Weird.

Talking to my dealer yesterday and he said that it may have already shipped. He said that him and the other dealers in Labrador have been raising hell with their rep because they are already losing customers who are backing out on their snowchecks. Mine and my buddys 163 have been built for over a month and there doesnt seem to be any rhyme or reason to how they are being shipped. I will check with him next week to see if they are actually on the way.

It's just a new program by Polaris to sell all the carryovers and floor stock. Dealers will sell every backed out 850, once they get them :). Tough deal for those who ordered in spring in good faith, and are getting hosed if they have snow or mods. Customers who snocheck can have a long memory. Late snochecks happen to at least one OEM every couple of years.

Transportation problems are really a management issue - as in - Poo won't pay more to get them shipped. Money still works, and if Poo really wanted to get the sleds shipped, they could, but not at their planned cost. IF that's the root cause, or the only one. Could be months or never for the real story (will be treated as internet hype).

Date now changed to the 19th. Dealer was on the phone with Polaris last night until 10 pm asking wtf? Aparently whoever was supposed to release them for shipment took the day off yesterday and now they are scheduled to ship in another week. Dealer is trying to get them shipped sooner but I don't have much hope at this point. He has almost half a million in sleds ordered that he cannot sell and is afraid he will end up being stuck with them.

They told a friend of mine the 20th yesterday. I also heard the 23rd. What a mess. You've basically missed 2 months of riding. I'd be demanding some sort of compensation.

If this is true, it is truly inexcusable.

Still waiting for my sled to ship. Last lie was December 5th.

The "specialist" that is handling my case called today to say they are going to be off for the next two weeks and someone else is going to be taking my file. Other than sled is funded, they would not give any other info. Said they are waiting to hear from the "snow team".

Hope the snow team is like the A-Team...

If it helps, my Freeride was supposed to be here yesterday, nobody has seen it. I was told by someone else in another industry today that trucking/shipping has issues.

Well this flustercluck should be good for the other 2 mfgs right now. I'm sure there's more than a few who've jumped ship.
And sounds like good deals to be had on snow check Axys sleds here in a couple months!
Really though, stinks for the dealers and the customers. Especially the dealers.

Sounds like something Cat would do....

Yeah and shipping issues is the biggest crock of ..... Reason I've ever heard.
I could get 20 trucks by noon tomorrow if I needed to. And it would probably take less than 5 phone calls.

More like working overtime like Santas elves on the assembly line!

That's because your 30 minutes from a major city. Not 7 hours. At our office in Minneapolis I can have a truck in a day all the time. In our office in DeSmet, SD it could take a week or longer to get just one truck for a dedicated load because there is nothing being hauled there and nobody wants to drive empty anymore. The truck shortage in this country right now is no joke and it's only going to get worse.

As someone who has been by the factory recently I have never in 20+ years seen that many sleds still sitting in boxes this late into the season in their yard.

And what if dealers let people get out of their snowchecks and the sleds are delivered after the first of the year? Is Polaris going to change their policies on Snowcheck sleds losing their benefits after the end of the year for resale to new buyers?

Just talked to the dealer and it was being loaded on a truck and is supposed to leave today. Has has been on the phone with them all morning. Trucks are supposed to come straight here with no transfers in between. 21 snowchecks and about the same amount in inventory. He has been basically telling Polaris what we all have: that we are sick of the bull**** excuses and there is absolutely no reason why they could not have been shipped before or that they should have been telling everyone what was going on. There are three dealerships in Labrador and all of them had trouble getting their sleds but they were not told why. It was not a money issue because they verified multiple times that the sleds were funded so no one could figure out what the issue was. He also said it wasn't a transport issue because as soon as the sleds were released, they were loaded.

Polaris CS told me that if the snowchecks got delivered after Dec 31st (which mine most likely will because I will be out of town), they will work something out so that they get everything they are supposed to.
