Oh, and all the bushings were dry. Cat must have known that the 40 arms were only going to be on there temporarily.

Anyone else find it a little sad that there isn't one standard fastener on the 38 front end kit install, all metric?

Not really surprising considering every single bolt and fastener on the sled is metric.

Really? That is strange. I was starting to assume the whole sled was metric after taking the front end apart. Easier to work on than half and half I guess, but still kinda sad.

just because its metric doesn't mean its not made in the usa, the metric bolt has a finer course thread. for sled application the metric bolt is generally better.

Almost all major manufactures use metric now. Cat has been fully metric for years, they just use a lot of sizes that cross over. 11=7/16, 13=1/2, 14=9/16, 19=3/4.

any tips for removing ball joints from spindle? I am going to try heating the spindle with my heat gun hoping bolt will drop out with a few taps to the spindle with a dead blow. I will be installing the kit tonight. thanks

No need for heat. Pull the spindles with the arms, flip them over on a big block of wood, support the spindle, dead blow the arm ends good, they will pop. Tried to to it on the sled, got one lower but the upper wouldn't budge. Support the spindle and they pop right out.

A must for us 1100t owners!

Spent several hours with the 38 inch stance and vert steering on my 1100t Pro-Climb, completely new animal way more easy to lay on its side and the vert steering makes the sled all that more enjoyable to ride. My smile just got even wider!

First ride with the 38 " Arms and Zbros Post

Today was the first day with the 38 " A Arms. and I must say I like it better
than with the 40's. ( PC800 )

I takes a little while to get use to the new Flick-ability, I have the skies set to
the narrowest setting. In good powder it will be a blast to ride. Was spring
time/summer time snow today in the snowies.

Glad I made the switch to 38's and the new post is great. RicKM

Whoever at Cat decided to put stock at 40" should be fired. It changes the whole personality of the sled at 38".
