There bumpers are top notch. I've had mine for a full season and it's still straight. I hit a ton a chit.

Why does everybody use a round bar for outer edge...................grrrrrrr
Bending square or triangle stock corectly costs lots of money and cutting it and re-welding it to the right angle is not a strong or correct way to do it. We've looked at the options for it and it would be cool but the die costs to make it work for every single board would be insane.

I'm assuming that it has to do with the radius of the tube "making it narrower " on the outer edge. I personally think you could place the traction screws in the outer rail to act like it has a defined outer edge similar to square or a triangular tube would have. Either way, I will gladly send them out raw for you to customize to your liking.

I did have a couple ideas thinking about this concept that we may play with to go to the next generation of products.

Round boards are fine traction wise and work great for 95% of the market

For me is multiple items,
Traction screw can f you up,
An outer edge has a feel and stability that gives control
With an edge as long as you make contact your good, but on a tube of you miss the screws, your screwed.
Not to say they won't be great, but I'm spoiled with what I like :)

I should throw a tape on the front stirrup and post so you can get an idea to help with making it fit the panel

We have seen people slip and hit the outer edge on the polaris extrusion and it will destroy legs as well. I did save the close up pics you posted as well. Maybe send me an under the sled shot of where you reattached the side panel and we should be able to get it figured out.

I think I get what wyo is saying.
If the outer tube is not higher that the rest of the board, it would not provide a comfortable footing when standing sideways on the board. That is also one of the reasons to angle the boards up on the outside.
I wonder if u could cost effectively weld a strip of square tube on top of the outer rail for traction and height?
How much height? 1/4in 3/8in?

I just never miss or slip with my setup, but i have with every other setup.

I'm going to talk with some people about milling down a piece of stock to attach to the edge that would do the same thing. Cost is key though

Beautiful Colorado
Would it be that much harder to weld the cross bars underneath the side support? Then you would have your edge. That's what I did on my mod sled many years back. Wish I had a picture of that.

I'm good with the round bar currently used on your boards, in my opinion if the outside edge was higher would make it uncomfortable and akward riding the sled on flat or jumping. Never had an issue slipping with a round bar outer edge. I just staggered the traction screws straight up and at a 45° angle on the outer edge and there's no way my foot has ever slipped on them. I do wear my mx knee pads now to protect my shin and knees if I ever do hit the boards with anything other than my foot. Lol
