Can you get to all idle jets without removing carbs. My new machine won't idle as it had old gas left in it. It will run with choke 1/2 on so I assume the idle jets are plugged

You can try Seafoam in your fuel, but if you need to clean the carbs, you're going to have to remove them. Take the fuel bowls off and spray everything down with carb cleaner. Make sure your floats and needle valves are operating freely as well and you may need to replace the O rings at the bottom as well.
Also , if you remove the top caps be real careful with the needles and don't lose the tiny o-ring under the cap.
