Broken Jackshafts! 14 and 15

So my buddy has a 14 m8000
The 14 jackshaft broke at 600 miles
He had a 15 jackshaft installed
Roughly 600 miles later the 15 jackshaft snapped and secondary fell right off!

What can cause this ??

Makes me worried about mine snapping on my 14 I'm at 1100 miles so far !

Round faced bearing & gears in chaincase wetnoodle the shaft

evo (and others) make a heavy duty shaft....racin' station can get you one..:face-icon-small-hap

Well after seeing a 15 shaft snap i doubt a heavy duty one will hold up ....does anyone know what causes them to break or what to look for so this doesn't happen again.....he doesn't even ride all that hard

Does he do jumping and have the throttle pinned when landing? That will do it.

No jumping just mainly powder and hills

The clutch side splines on my Evo look like crap after a 1000 miles... Looks like they didn't harden it at all, pretty disappointed for the $$$

I lost one on my 14 at 800 miles. Got 1000 miles out of 15 shaft with no issues. Was he running stock clutching?
