I want to start a thread that only list problems and solutions on the 09 m1000, please keep it to the point and on track for future reference.

So far What I've heard- Most of these problems are rare and should not be worried about just something to consider.

1)Power Claw fray from rivets on tunnel / drill rivet and replace with shorter or put rivets in from other direction.-track fray thread, give information -
http://www.snowest.com/forum/showthread.php?t=118255

2)Bog,To much oil from factory / had to be turned way down to get to stock setting, oil adjustment threads -
http://www.snowest.com/forum/showthread.php?t=116678
http://www.snowest.com/forum/showthread.php?t=118967

3)One that overheated / NA -seized water pump shaft, hoping for full engine warranty?
thread-- http://www.snowest.com/forum/showthread.php?t=117978

4)Gas leakage, Recall / see dealer.-

5)Weak A-arm mount, ripping out / Easy fix.......... SKU: 4606-402 -Brace, Lower A-Arm $2.63

6) The tunnel is weak behind the rear stirrup. If you come down on the rear at all this section of the tunnel ext. will buckle.. / NA, maybe an after market company will create a brace to fix problem but for now be careful.

7) Fuel pressure #'s are not consistent / regulator and gauge - any one know of an actual # to run

8) belt life / Can't say much about this because there are to many variables, start with this, check alignment, put in extra venting, proper break in, here is a thread on belts
http://www.snowest.com/forum/showthread.php?t=115890

9) Steering post-adjustable / make sure lock nut for steering post is tight, its under the sled on the bottom of the steering post, standard post is weaker than last year.
thread link - http://www.snowest.com/forum/showthread.php?t=116012

10) High fax gets caught in track windows when backing down ramps, Issue is due to 2 wheel kit / Beveled rear of each highfax with dye grinder approx 45 degrees.

11) Pipe sensor fell apart inside pipe / Get Warrantied
Thread http://www.snowest.com/forum/showthread.php?t=121650

12) Oil pump sticking and not returning using more oil than needed.

13) metal shim under helix coming apart-recall is out see your dealer./ Get warrantied

14) a few piston scuffs not sure why- looks like cold seize, possibly a tolerance issue

If you add something to one of these please refer to by number, and if adding something please continue to number. post pic to for problems and solutions

I've been riding my Le for 2 days now, and not a single problem. Its only pulling 7000-7200 RPM on a powder climb, but its not broken in yet and 200 rpm will be easy to pick up by shaving a gram. Powerclaw track IS THE SHIZZZNIIT, it works really well in the deep. My only complaint is it's a little heavy for me (5'8" 185#) I had no problems handling it, and took it anywhere I wanted, but I'm used to an M8 that leaves the parking lot at 520#, so that extra 70# on the front end is something that I could do without.
All in all, right out of the box, this thing is rockin.

Again please assign a number for new problems and refer to problems by number, that way other threads can be started by reference numbers.

If anyone has pics of these items(problems and sollutions) please post and assign to a number for future reference. Thanks

RockyMtn.Kris mentioned fuel pressure, seems if the fuel pressure is too high it creates a bog syndrome also if I read that correctly fuel pressure regulator being recomended,,,,,, even on stockers.

#7 Put fuel pressure regulator on and knocked the pressure down from 44 to 37-38 lbs. Added fuel back on the top end back with pure logic fuel control box.

weight transfer depends on the rider and how good you are at setting them up I can't really list it as a problem, there are others doing mods to get different transfer out of sleds i'd say start a new thread or search old ones. My 07 some say had little transfer if any, out of the hole i got beat but on the hill I went farther than my friends 08's

7) My 07 puts out 46psi and it ran pretty darn good then went to slp kit with bd box and ran slp #'s a little higher and it ripped.

# 10 Snow flap too long, gets caught under track when reverse down ramp. Trimmed it off at least 4".
#11 High fax gets caught in track windows also when backing down ramps. Issue is due to inside wheel kit. Bevelled rear of each highfax with dye grinder approx 45 degrees.
#12 broke both of my hood strap "tits" during this cold snap. Put 2 self tapping lags in there for the strap to go over. Man I wish AC would fix this. Both my sleds are like this now.

sorry everyone but I don't want this thread turning into 8 pages of questions, Just problems and solutions. If you have some info or a good post/thread list it. I am trying to keep it to where you can come back to one thread and find all the info you need at the top of the page. I don't want to pi$$ anyone off, but if this post gets to long people will just read half of it and it will wind up way off subject. You can find many answers by searching or starting a new thread, when you do or if you find something then please list it here. Again just trying to keep it simple.

Not looking for 08 or older problems unless it is a problem on the 09, I'm talking about faulty equipment or something that will cost you in the long run.

Once you find a problem start a thread and list the thread with problem here. I will list the problem and the thread at the top of the first page. Then if the problem is salved in that thread I will list (problem/solution, and the thread)

hope this makes sense Thanks
