My dealer had their demo come out of break in around 100 miles. They were surprised as well.

My 2018 175, picked up near the end of last season so 3 spring snow rides and 3 early season trail rides this season, has around 120 miles and is only 1/2 way through break in.
Some big, deep powder days definitely speed up break in.

To the OP, what were snow conditions and how much fuel burned the day yours went from 70% remaining to 0%? Just wondering what that 50 miles was like.

Snow the day I came out of break in was 2-3ft off fresh pow. Ran it hard, used 1/2 (or a touch more )tank of oil, roughly 8 gallons of gas( gas gauge was flashing between 1-2 bars). Ended the day with 63 miles on the odometer total. From where I spotted the 70 ish percent was probably close to 15-20 miles, back to the truck. Broke trail all day in and back out.

First day I used about a half tank of oil, and roughly 3-5 gallons gas is 20-30 miles.

Just put the spurs to the beast and it’ll come out of break in fast

Just for comparison...I have a buddy with a 2017 that has been stuck at 49% remaining break in for the last 2 seasons. Plug into buds and it verifies it is correct with no codes. :face-icon-small-con
There are apparently anomalies with the system that are not recognized by BUDS.

The sled we had that was not running right had the ecu replaced and was back at 99 break in.

About 65 miles on it, it is no longer in break in.

Mine is now out of break in at around 250 miles.

I put roughly 35 miles on mine and had 84% left. I wasn’t riding it very hard though. I did see in the manual that it’s roughly 2 tanks of fuel for break in.

Maybe, though I’m hard on the oil...so you may be just fine.

I use about a gallon per weekend when the snow is good. Bought it ride it, not stop and let the clutch cool, as they say.

SO I finally got to put some miles on. At 43 miles my sled was at 85% break-in. Seems to be the normal count down as all my others. (Trail riding, very little WFO.)
