08 dragon 800 motor blew

My dads 08 dragon 800 motor siezed up after riding it around the 4000 rpm range. Took the cylinder head off and a bunch of metal flakes but no hole in the piston. Any ideas what failed and whats " the fix " for these motors.

Really??? Did you look at any of the threads in the IQ section (I can see a dozen right below this one)? There must be 50+ active threads on IQ800 engine failures, broken skirts, fix kits, etc.

K well was wondering if anybody ran across metal flakes and what failed, You don't have to be a #@%$ about it.

Do a little more searching and you may find what your looking for, there are fix kits out there to help the engine be more reliable, so it doesn't happen again. Also, look at the sticky posts at the top to help guide you to a better dragon.
