Thought I would share the start of our new beast. It will be a full custom tube frame based off the IQR chassis, drop and roll, Ezryde, zbroz 45in front end etc. The motor is a Yamaha Nytro, Impulse spec CP pistons, carrillo rods and if we get it done in time our new CNC ported head with bigger valves. To top it off a Impulse 2871 race turbo kit...more to come:face-icon-small-sho

Come on you really think we enjoy building cool toys all day!:laugh: The sled is our shop sled and hopefully it will get a few people to step up and buy one. Here is a few more boring pics....

Is the tube chassi fabricated using any Ti or Chromo, or just good ol' steel and aluminum?

Ok jig is done. Chassis is going to be chromoly tube with carbon fiber hood/tunnel cover.

nice,, need to see the weight on the chassis when welded up. Any tube frame available for a Rev 04 to 07? tunnel is lookin like my next summer purchase and it's all about strong lite weight. how much? what would it weigh? I'm lookin at carbon fiber too.

Looks like this sled will kick some ***!!!! You will be the first one to the top of the hill every time, this should shut up the smack talkers. Let us know when its done so we can take it out and see what it will do. Keep the pictures coming, looks like you guys really know how to build some wicked stuff.

Killer. Is that all 1-1/8" tubing? Why such large tube for the whole chassis? I'm assuming all .035? That thing is going to be bulletproof.

I thought the Supreme tool DD required a 14.5" track???

The website does specify that the narrower tracks are required when installing it in a stock cat chassis in lieu of the DD. As this is a one off custom, my guess is they made the bulkhead wider to accommodate a full width track as well as fit the Yammi engine, but as I have the same info you do on the build, again that is just my guess as that is what I would have done.

If that was the case then he'd need a longer driveshaft. I really liked the DD I put in my Rev, and I wanted to put the STP gear case in the next chassis I build but the track width was holding me back. Maybe he got a custom driveshaft.
