i also loved my 09 1000, got it down to same weight as polaris pro....engine worked to 189 hp and 137 lbs torque....gas pump turbos were toast, normally took race gas & 12 lbs boost and a long hill to come by me, and i put 4800 miles on it, no problems, changed pistons at 2400 miles, and mixed oil/gas myself, which i think contributed to engines longevity....don't miss the front end weight, but loved the power uphill in the deep...:face-icon-small-hap

What did it take to get down to pro weight? pipes porting to engine?

Finally a factory estart option, should be standard equiptment. But then snowmobiling is usually the last to figure things out...

If you are looking for a bigger motor for 20, just buy some 850 or 900 stickers and throw them on your hood. Everyone knows decals add 20 HP ;) Tell your friends you're testing it out for Cat and let them take it for a spin. Let them tell you how much more linear and powerful it is compared to their 800's.

My M1000 was pretty lite. Carbon fibre hood, 36” Alt impact front end, custom seat, ceramic brake, Slp exhaust, bdx lite drive , X3 track, Linderman port and polish. Pump gas turbos didn’t stand a chance. But I’m pretty sure my Alpha will be better than the 1000. Alpha rips.

Just rode with a highly modified m1000.
3in camo extreme 190hp lightened up.
On long steep climbs, is the only place it was close. Alpha is much better everywhere else.

A 340 CTEC in a REAL mountain chassis would be so cool. We need a real sled that 10-15 yr old kids can ride with us in the nmountains. Make it super light so they can have a chance at getting themselves unstuck, skinny deep lug track so they can keep up and real suspension. Kids gotta dangle too!

I'll sell ya one, it's a 440, eltigre 6000
