Like title says. Looking for some ideas to have a filter air before entering engine. Had bogging issue and intake had a bunch of snow dust and chunks of ice in intake. Don’t recall having bogging on the 15 proclimb. Intake setup up top looks much more durable on the 15 compared to this 18.
Was looking at putting some prefilter screen over the rubber seal that the nose piece is suppose to seal up against. Such a poor intake system. Be better off having intake tubes like turbo setups. Would virtually rid of the snow injestion problem.

I installed the intake reinforcement kit and the defender intake in mine and it helps big time. It WILL NOT help if you don't get the hood onto the intake properly though unfortunately.

What u mean it won’t help if don’t get hood onto intake properly? Because the lip u have to cut out?

Filter goes inside the nose cone, not the throttle body ‘boot’. So if you don’t get the hood on right snow will leakin at the seem.

bingo. the filter is attached to the hood nose piece not on the intake box so if the hood isn't attached properly youll still suck snow into the intake through the nose cone
