So were in the middle of putting in an 2008 800 cfi engine into a rev. Plan on running a 66 areocharger, with boost-it box. I have a couple of questions.
I have an RT 1000 fuel tank that Im going to run an external fuel regulator off the pump, what fuel preesure are these sleds running factory?
I have the sled fitted up with a 162 3" track with 8 tooth drivers. What are you guys running for gearing and clutching, looking for a baseline?
I also need to buy a primary for this project, Is the factory p-85 the best route to go, or is there better options out there?
Have any of you guys ran the redline cpc gauge?

The fuel pressure for the 800 CFI is 58 psi.
Fuel pressure for the RT1000 is 62 psi.

As for clutching, that is subjective. For gearing, 19-42 ish seems to be close.

And the P-85 should be fine.

Turbo with a 3" and you have to buy a primary I would go with one of the aftermarket primary's I think there is one out there with 4 /8 rollers. Supposed to grip like no other clutch made. I'll try to find the site I saw them on.

Curious of why your using a rev? Is it just what you have handy? Why not an xp they are getting pretty cheap too
My pro runs 63 fuel pressure read on the cpc redline

I have one that was built from before xp time, racers edge tunnel bulhead droped and rolled, light weight seat and skid a arms and all the good stuff. It finally dropped an engine the last trip in the spring, so why not. Never really jumped on the xp boat.

ill have to do some digging through my stuff but the stock polaris fuel pump (not the assembly but the pump itself) is identical with one from a early-mid 1990's chevy pickup. if you can get your hands on one of the polaris assemblies with a bad pump you can swap a chevy one in for $50 from NAPA. i did this for a while but ended up running on external fuel pump but retained the factory fuel pick-ups in the tank.

Ya I'm going to run a RT fuel tank as it has good pickups for fuel injection, I picked up tank and pumps for 150 dollars, so trying to figure out how many lph the stock RT pump is, and the Polaris pump is, might just get an walbro 190 lph pump, to replace the RT stock pump, then I know it will be good.
