To do it means bypassing the whole DESS security system... which i am trying to figure out how to do. My cousin lost his teather. we took it to skidoo to have hte computer linked up to a new teather and they can't get the cdi box to link up.

i am desperatly trying to get him on the snow for next weekend but it ain't looking good. If anyone knows how, i am a long standing member, the sled in question isn't stolen, if someone knows how but doesn't wan to share it on the forum, call me or text me at 4062240067

My 2004 has the "Tether" cord for starting and stopping the motor. The security function was removed when we sent the MPEM box to Doo race shop to get the custom timing installed. Sled was used as a drag sled test mule. Now it is used for trail rides.

The sled can be started with any of the tethers we have for the Doo's.

You CAN NOT bypass the system at home.... Dealer was unable to program my box as well.
