How much weight did the rear skid save if any? Mono rail looks beefy, but also pretty slick!

Website is updated. The Alpha shows a weight of 437lbs dry. Mountain cat shows 452lbs. Don't remember what the '18 mountain cat was supposed to be.

Whoa. Props for finally publishing weights again. I don't care if it's the lightest but at least list it.

Man that textron presentation ended creepily.

Very impressive on how tight that thing turns. For a rider like me, who loves to carve and likes his sled to roll with as little as imput as possible, seems like a dream come true.

Kudo's to Cat for already having the new sleds on their website!!!

I ride Polaris but Cat knocked this year out of the park with little refinements. Wider ski rubbers - Polaris still hasn't figured this out and its critical. Stock tether. A proper shock package.

I have to say I'm skeptical of the mono rail. I think this may go the way of the skidoo T-motion, but it sure is neat.

- Redesigned handlebar button
- Factory tether
- Redesigned brake lever assembly

Add to MC Alpha One
- New rear suspension Monorail

Excited to see a reliability and durability of monorail design.

Excited to see if new generation of skis are better.

Hardcore are the new HCR (rail brace, slide action rear suspension, heavy duty shock)

Is the new ski similar or the same as the 18 Yamaha ski?

so is this available in the states now? looks like the HCR made a comeback? anyone have the details

Says 438lbs on the site... only one pound heavier than the alpha, doesnt seem right?

Interesting sled though, appears to be a beefed up back country sled rather than a hill climb sled. WIN!

I noticed that dry weight. It also says arctic race front suspension when you're reading the features, but arctic mountain suspension in the spec sheet. Spec sheet also says QS3 FLOATS but everything else shows coilovers

Found a formula...

Teeth X Pitch / Pi = diameter

So a 7T 3.5 would be 7.8" diameter
8T 3 would be 7.64" diameter

Forget last comment...step forward.

yakima, wa.
Half inch bigger around actually... just multiply them if im not mistaken.
Yes and no.
Cats 7tooth is a true 3in pitch with a 21in circumference.
Their 8tooth driver is closer to 2.86, (yes like doo and poo) circumference is just under 23in if i remember correctly.

Alpha ......
