ktm 300 gearing for the hills, what are u using?

I would think that if your chain is rubbing the track with the 12, the 13 would fit just fine. I'm running a 12 currently and it isn't yet rubbing, and a 13 easily fits, especially now that the chain has stretched a little.

What year bikes are you guys running? Maybe its the non linkage 300's that allow the 13 I'm in the same boat with the 13 not going on at all even with a used chain.

I have to use a non oring mx chain with a half link to install a 13T. This is on older non linkage 300. 12T was horribly low IMHO.

I thought my experience with countershaft sprockets and chain lengths would be pretty much universal, but it sounds like the 300's are more particular. I don't ride a 300, so I'll step away from this discussion. LOL.

Mine is a 2012 xc with the linkage. I haven't put the 13t on yet but the chain is currently rubbing the track slightly with the 12t. O-ring chain that came with the kit.
