head light taken out of the hood???????

hey guys

I have taken the head light and the speedo out of my hood and i am wondering if i have to suck up the power from them so i does not blow my coil and other electronics in my sled.

any info would be good

I ran my ZX for 3 seasons with no guages or headlights....no problems. Had factory handwarmers (only on when needed) and I ran a Digitron.

I ran my 02 ZX all season last year with no headlight or speedo. I only used the handwarmers when needed and no problem yet.

i had an issue. i had to run a boondocker voltage resistor to dump the extra power. everything would work but when i went about half throttle it would create to much power and everything would shut off.

I run a Mountain fit hood. No lights or gauges. Also no problems. Tried to post a PhotoBucket picture, but it won't let me do that.

This one has the lights down low and out of the way where the other one has it mounted on the bars but may be in the way at times.
