Looking to upgrade wife's sled from a 2012 XF8000 high country to an M. Was wondering what weight difference is between sno pro versions of a 6000 and 8000. Thought maybe she would like the 6000 better if it is lighter??? TIA!

It's less than you think. Like probably under 10 lbs.

The difference is in how they ride though. The motor with less displacement and moving mass will ride a lot lighter. They're not that different yanking them out of a trench but the smaller motors make it easier to move the sled around, so still worth doing IMO for a smaller rider.

My wife rode both when she was deciding on a sled. She rode the 6000 and 8000 for about an hour each. She loves the lower torque of the 800 and that is why she got one. She also like the fact that she can idle out of the situations at times but when you pull the throttle the sled pulls hard. She could not tell too much difference in weight between the 2 sleds even though the 6000 is lighter(but not by much). I also rode both as well and like the 8000 better. the 6000 went everywhere the 8000 did but feels like you are riding a 800 pro(little underpowered and higher rpm Torque) The 8000 Torque come in hard and keeps building as the rpm goes up

I've never weighed a 600, but my guess is around 10lbs lighter. Spent a lot of time on the m6000, they are very nice and capable sleds when set up right (clutching and suspension). They will go just about anywhere you can take a 800, just not going to climb as high. Used she is a super aggressive rider andimes to keep up with the boys, she will really like it.
