Axys Pro belt is a more durable (reportedly) compound and is, of course, more expensive. However, it is dimensionally the same as the Pro belt so your spare will work on the Axys. That is nice. The QD belt is not dimensionally the same so you will have to purchase a new spare QD belt if you want the security of having one when you are riding.

I have a 2015 axys switchback,,,they use an 1177 belt that uses a shorter c to c than 2014 pro ride chassis. The c to c is the same as the IQr 10 5/8" I believe. Old belts like the 1115 won't work

This is what I understand as well. Unless they put the Jack shaft in a completely different location with the rear portion of the mountain bulkhead, which is entirely possible as the mounting is very different between the two, from the photos. We may have to wait for a stronger confirmation. There seems to be a lot of mis-information from the Polaris Reps / Engineers at the press releases so far.

What I heard was that the new belt has a slightly different angle on it which is getting better life out of it. They also said it can be used on the current pro. Eric

Belt Info

The new belt is a better more durable compound, and will fit on the older model pro's. The new part number by the way will be 3211183 if anyone is interested. The 2016 also has a new Primary that has sheaves that are cut to match the belt angle better (exactly like the clutch mod that we developed here at Carl's), as well as helping to reduce belt heat. The belt will retail for 199.99 to the best of my knowledge, though prices may change as usual.

Ok, I'm usually pretty harsh on Polaris for their belt decisions, but the move to keep the same C-C on the new machine is very good. Making one more durable than the 115 belt seems like a stretch... the 115 will groove the clutch face pretty good. But more durable is always a great idea.

Hi! Do I understand this correctly: the 3211115 belt and the new 3211183 belt have the same measurements in witdh, circumference and angles. It is the angle of the clutch sheaves that is different in the 2016 PRO:s, right?

Maybe you could claim that the 115 belt will work for the 2016 800 PRO-RMK but won´t be as durable as the 183?

Good news that means that the cat 048 belt will work. @ $60 a piece way better option.

My vote would be for the Gates G Force C12 (Carbon Corded) belt PN# 44C4553; Which are readily available for nearly the same price (if you shop around) as the Cat 048 (but a much higher quality Belt).

With a Part number Google search you can find them for about $75.00 and up. FWIW

***Note: Be sure you are buying the "44C4553" as Gates offers a cheaper "44G4553" also, that comes up when doing a Goggle Part number search! Because it is so close***

200.00 for a belt is just silly. I will continue to run the cat belt and the gates belt, want to compare them both. Eric

The AXYS Rush/Switchback use a shorter belt(45.16") than the AXYS RMK/SKS(46.77")......

Attached is a screen shot from the 2016 catalog.
