Over here
So my skidoo 700 cought fire last spring.
What happend was the brakes died , like nothing was there then it worked fine and then no brakes then okey again. Happend few times and no heat from the disk. Drove it the whole weekend like this and all good. Untill one time i smelled burning plastic and it was on fire. Got the fire out but dont realy know whats was wrong with the brakes as it didnt never feel like it was stuck on. Now the disk moves alot on the axle. Any input what is happening here.
Down here is a video of the carnage.

The slack in the rotor is completely normal. The brake systems on those machines are really simple. I would say either a hole in the brake line or the caliper seals may have failed causing brake fluid to leak on to something hot and start the fire.
