But I wanna go straight.

This sign project, which is many totally needless ones like shown as well as replacing current signs (I watched them remove a stop sign only to put up a new one) is a nationwide ordeal. They (we) are spending 2.3 million in our county alone. This works out to over $400/person.

Perfect example of STUPID spending!

But I wanna go straight.

On a one mile stretch with 4 corners that obviously go in only 1 direction, there are 8 of these signs.

This is the type of wasteful government spending that should infuriate everyone.

Did I mention that this is not even a public road?
This road is owned and maintained by our HOA.

I was just complaining about this one last night. I went to a concert recently. Tickets were something like $65...but came to $80 after "fees." What a load of crap.

Mafesto. I think a lot of the signs out there are more a result of our sue happy society and saving one's own ass then government wastefulness. Although there is enough to go around for sure. Some attorney somewhere would argue that corner or that street was not well marked at night and his client drove off the road and should not be held responsible for his incurred medical bills for being an idiot.

Sadly, you have a valid point BUT, this is a private road. So you all are paying for signs on a road that belongs to me and 14 other families.

Furthermore, the majority of the signs (on public roads) in this campaign are simply replacing existing signs, some which were put up less than a year ago.
This is just a perfect example of the people we elect approving the wasteful spending of our money.

I am not sure how to take this Mafesto Whether the point i am making was sad or the fact i actually have a point is sad :face-icon-small-ton. I agree that this age old idea of spending money so that we get the same amount of money allocated next year, that is so ingrained into any bureaucracy or institution in this country, is ridiculous. It is interesting you say this is a private road though.

We have these signs on the end of our township gravel roads due to correction lines and state line changes. We live near a casino and our roads become very lively at night due to drinkers avoiding the hi-ways. The signs either get run over or stolen. The last one I just put up had double nuts put on and the threads smashed with a hammer in attempt so it doesn't get stolen again.

This country is so sue happy, all these lawyers have instilled into our social media idiots that; anytime someone gets hurt, it is not their fault, someone else is responsible and should pay!

I sure like the stupid "convenience" fee all the states add when you buy a hunting or fishing license online. I stopped at a walmart a while back in vermillion since I forgot I needed an out of state predator license to shoot coyotes in South Dakota. They got it off the same website and there was no convenience fee.
