'13/14/15 AC Secondary spacer

R
Hey guys...question for everyone. Has anyone removed the white spacer or cut it down a little?
I'm guessing it limits your full shift out.
2012s didn't have it, 13, 14 15s do..
If you do mod it or remove it, how about the primary clutching? Weight change needed??

I trimmed mine down to where the belt will go down all but the last 1/8" or so of the sheaves just to keep it out of the helix. This was 2 yrs ago and I've had no ill effects since.

Edit: didn't change anything clutching wise

You may gain a couple of mph top speed will be the only gain. Be careful if you do cut it that the belt can go too deep, get in to the helix and explode it.

Well that's interesting. Thanks guys.
Was there any performance gains from cutting it down or leaving it out??
Do you remember Vern how much you cut off??

Don't think I cut much more than an 1/8"-3/16" off. I just took the spring out and put the secondary back together and seen how far the belt would go down, then trimmed the spacer and rechecked until I was satisfied. As for gains, like mentioned above, a bit more top end and doesn't feel like it hits a wall when goin wide open.
