Have a '12 XF 800 high country. Bought a rear skid and track from a '12 PC M800, minus the rear shock. My question is can I use my rear shock from the HC in the M skid? Everything seems to be identical except for the length of the rails. Don't have a M shock to measure for length and the part #'s for the HC and the M are different. Don't care to buy another shock when I could use the $$ on ALOT of other things.

Probably a color difference or something. It's the same length, but MIGHT have slightly different valving (another reason for different part #) you should have no trouble swapping it.
Sounds like what you guys are saying makes sense. maybe I'll though it in the 153" skid this weekend and see how she looks.

The valving is the only difference that I can find, the body, rod, and end cap are the same part number..

So the XF is softer?
I'd say the xf is stiffer due to the thicker shims used in the valve stack
